This document represents on of the earliest towns incorporated in what would later be the State of Colorado. “The town of St. Vrain, a ghost town, was located in Weld County, Colorado, near the former trading post of Fort Saint Vrain. It was situated northeast of the confluence of the Saint Vrain Creek and the South Platte River. St. Vrain County, from which the modern Weld County was organized, was named for the French trader Ceran de Hault de Lassus de St. Vrain and encompassed this area of the former Jefferson Territory.”
