Brian Levine has spent more than 35 years as a Colorado historian, author, museum curator and preservationist, including six years as historic preservation director of Cripple Creek. He is the author of six books on Western and Colorado history, among them Cripple Creek Gold and The Portland: Colorado’s Richest Gold Mine.
That same rigor goes into each listing: provenance traced, printings and states identified, and the object placed in its historical context.
