Carlton, Cripple Creek gold magnate.  Originally hand-signed by SIMON GUGGENHEIM, son of MEYER GUGGENHEIM of Leadville, Colorado fame and fortune.  Also, of the AMERICAN SMELTING AND REFINING COMPANY; nrother of the unfortunate Bernard Guggenheim, who perished on the sinking Titanic.  Letter concerns the designation of the FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF CANON CITY, COLORADO, owned by ex-Governor, James H. Peabody.

Condition: very good plus to near fine; folded twice; clean, bright; excellent signature.
