Printed on certificate: “Location of Mine: Chicago Creek, Clear Creek, Colorado”
Unique photographic vignette showing location of mine in Chicago Creek, and also an inset photograph of a miner tramming out gold ore from the Gold Glen Tunnel.
Near fine condition, usual two folds. Printed on thick bond paper.
Drove crosscut tunnel into Alps Mountain, with goal to encounter Mattie and Stanley veins. A.S. Dennis employed as manager of mining property. [Reference: Rocky Mountain News article, 1902]
Only the “Preferred” shares of the Gold Glen Company were issued in theis photographic format. “Common” shares were issued in a gold and black print, with the typical engraved mining scene for the period regularly used by Colorado printers.
