Issued July 26, 1881, not cancelled by the Company.
Near fine condition; small-sized certificate with margins trimmed when printed in 1881. Dimensions: 9 inches by 4-1/8 inches.
Governor Robert W. Steele was one of the owners of this Company; however, W. B. Hale signed as vice president and John L. Stanage as secretary.
Mining property owned the Daybreak Lode and was located on Columbia Mountain. Opened a vein with a paystreak 6 inches wide in July 1881. On January 30, 1886, there was a sheriff’s sale on the property of the Steele Gold & Silver Company.
