Pay streak compoed of wire, ruby and native silver in a quartz gangue, assaying from 100 to 700 ounces of silver per ton.
Developed by four tunnels and one shaft.

Samuel Allerton was prominent Chicago businessman who had an interest in Colorado mining. He was associated with Thomas Avery, president of the Elgin Watch Company, who also shared interests in Colorado mining.
