EAGLE RIVER CANYON, EAGLE COUNTY COLORADO
Original hand-tinted albumen photograph by Alex Martin
Circa 1900
Eagle County mine along the tracks of the DENVER & RIO
GRANDE RAILROAD, and near Eagle River
Image dimensions: 14 inches by 10-1/2 inches
Mat dimensions: 20 inches by 16 inches
Original albumen image exhibits strong clarity and detail,
with mines evident throughout Eagle River Canyon. Hand-
tinted rockscape reflects the prominent red sandstone in
Canyon.
Image is perhaps a shade light, but that condition does not
deter from spectacular scenery. Some light damp-staining
around outer edges of mount.
