Locating an original second edition of this book with the folding “Is Colorado In
America,” desecrated American flag lithograph is exceedingly difficult.
Condition: book is in very good plus to near fine condition, complete with all illustrations and foldouts, including the exceedingly scarce lithograph, “Is Colorado In America”; endpapers at back of book have been replaced; spine very strong; pages clean, bright, fresh.
Book dimensions: 5-1/2 inches by 8 inches 463 pages, complete with all illustrations, including the exceedingly scarce, “IS COLORADO IN AMERICA,” lithograph. Lithograph dimensions: 16-1/4 inches by 22-1/4 inches. Lithograph condition: folded yet still in near fine condition with bright coloration and little, if no, toning “Desecrated Flag” published and distributed by the WESTERN FEDERATION OF MINERS.
Not only is the book significant to American labor history, but it is also important to for the history of Women in America, as Emma Langdon took the helm of the Victor Daily Record and continued to publish the pro-union newspaper after the entire printing staff was arrested by the Colorado State Militia, including her husband, Charles Langdon.
