Condition: very good plus to near fine; horizontal fold; some light fraying on upper margin, repaired on back.
The Belle of Ouray Company owned the Belle of Ouray, Way-up, Speculator, Morton, and 1/2 of the Champion lode, situated in Bear Creek, Ouray County, Colorado.  Developed by a732-foot tunnel, 443 feet of which was on the vein of the Morton Lode; Belle of Ouray vein had a width of 13-1/3 feet.  Ore was mainly pure galena in a quartz vein, carrying 27 to 150 ounces of silver per ton ….
