Signed by Dr. C. H. Scott on lower left-hand area of mount.  Dr. C. H. Scott lived in Como, Park County, Colorado; had an office
as a physician; however, was also a photographer.  He often worked with the Denver, Leadville & Gunnison Railroad (later, the Colorado & Southern Railroad) to take photographs for the railroad’s promotion, or photographic images for private clients.  Scott rode the Denver, Leadville &  Gunnison Railroad from Como, through Breckenridge, and up through the Alpine Tunnel to arrive in Pitkin, Colorado.  The excursion was convenient and mutually beneficial to Dr. Scott and the Denver, Leadville & Gunnison Railroad (earlier, Denver, South Park & Pacific Railroad).
