John Bitzer, proprietor

John Bitzner and Michael Schneider first opened the Bank Saloon at 405 Harrison Avenue in 1906.  Soon after, Schneider decided to leave the business.  Bitzer bought Schneider out and continued running the Bank Bar until Prohibition (Colorado, 1916).

Condition: excellent tones, contrasts and details; original mount exhibits some creasing, including a 1-inch crack in photograph at upper right-hand side of image; otherwise, very good plus to near fine.  Detail is superb.
