BLACK BIRD MINING & MILLING COMPANY, #109,

Ouray County Colorado mining stock certificate 1887.

Printed on certificate, “Mines Located in Uncompahgre Mining

District, Ouray County, Colorado.”

Issued November 1, 1887, not cancelled.  Very good plus to near fine

condition; usual folds; thin, small stain on left-hand side of certificate.

Company owned the Blackbird mining claim, Uncompahgre District,

4 miles southeast of Ouray, Colorado.  Vein was a fissure 10 feet wide

with a pay streek of 10- to 15-inches, containing quartz carrying

brittle silver and sulphurets, milling, after being sorted, at 150 ounces

per ton.  Developed by one tunnel 70 feet long and 1 shaft 30 feet

deep.

inches by 9-3/4 inches.

Condition: very good plus to near fine; usual two folds; a light, thin,
