Issued September 10, 1896, uncancelled.

Very good condition; folded twice, conservation stabilization on back of certificate at folds.

Mining property: Owned the Black Joe and Protection claims, near Balfour in Park County, Colorado.  Also, seven claims southeast of Straub Mountain, across from Lawrence, in the Cripple Creek Gold Mining District, El Paso County, Colorado.

Development work: 108-foot deep shaft on the Black Joe in Park County.  Cripple Creek claims were in the process of being patented in 1897.

Signed by A. L. Lawton, as president.  Lawton was one of the real estate developers who founded The Colorado Springs Rapid Transit Railway Company system.
