Deep tones and contrasts and vibrant detail.

Deep tones and contrasts on this original G. W. Moore photograph, resulting in excellent detail.

Tunnel through snow slide — covering toll road — was 400 feet in length and 40 feet high.  Circa 1888.

On back of original mount: “G. W. Stong & Co., Jewelers, Ouray, Colo.  Rocky Mountain Views.  Souvenir Spoons and Mineral Specimens.”  Mount condition: near fine.
